The community of Aliabad has been one of the most active,progressive and hard working communiteies in Hunza for the past many decades.The construction of a variety of magnificent school buildings,historical and cultural houses,arches,roads.public spots,water chaneels,libraries,traditional monuments and community'entres,are the crystal evidences of their unforgetable sacrifice,dedication,commitement and self-help Social work and volunteerserices in order to seeting up socialwelfare organizations and additional salient features of this community.Formaleducationwas started in Hunza in 1946,in the light of auspicious guidance of Mowlana Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan III,who stessed on English education.upto 1968,a traditional typed education was in vogue in the whole Northern areas including Hunza.A decade back a hugerevolution in education sector emerged.Traditional education was not helpful any more for our future generation in meeting the future challenges so the community of Aliabad clevely noticedof the changes occured in educational technology and thought upon an idea of converting urdu medium of instruction into English.Being a village with highly limited resources and civic amenities,it was not an easy job to establish a huge educational institutions with new tracks and trends.But the highly qualified and far sighted people and intellectuals turned this vogue idea into reality. By the grace of Almighty Allah and the high commitment of the community,a prominent educational institution ''HUNZA MODEL SCHOOL ALIABAD'' came into existence in March 1991,under the supervision of ''HUNZA SOCIAL WELFARE ORGANIZATION ALIABAD''.Now the school is one of the most leading English medium schools in Hunza,having 450 students.
